GUIDELINE LPX Predator
Completely new carbon fiber materials, a strong focus on sustainability and environmental friendliness, and the goal of developing the optimal rod for fly fishing for predatory fish were the three main focuses in the development of the new Guideline LPX Predator.
The LPX Predator series covers a wide range of applications, from fishing for perch and large trout to zander and pike.
Thanks to the new materials and manufacturing techniques, it was possible to shift the balance point of the rods further down, resulting in particularly light rods with sensitive tips that still have enough power for large streamers and big fish.
Guideline LPX Predator Models
Which model of the LPX Predator is the right fly rod for your fishing? Below, we summarize the 6 models and explain for which type of fishing we consider each to be ideal.
Guideline LPX Predator 9’ #5
The #5 is the lightest LPX Predator and is specifically designed for streamer fishing for trout, perch, and other freshwater fish. The rod effortlessly presents even bushy and weighted streamers and is ideal for fishing with sink tips.
Guideline LPX Predator 9’ #6
Ideal for fishing for perch, asp, or large brown trout. Especially in larger rivers or lakes, the LPX Predator #6 is more versatile than the rod of line class 5.
Guideline LPX Predator 9’ #7
For us, the Guideline Predator in line class #7 is the ideal light all-round rod for fly fishing for predatory fish. Whether for zander or as a light pike rod, this model will not let you down.
Guideline LPX Predator 9’ #8
Perfect as an all-round rod for pike and other large predatory fish. The Guideline LPX Predator in line class #8 is perfect for pike fishing with floating and intermediate lines.
