Orvis Helios 3D
Definitely one of our favourite rods ever, the Helios 3D performs simply outstanding! Orvis have put a lot of thought and expertise into the material and taper design and you can really feel that when you pick up this rod, but even more so when you cast it for the first time. In the right hands, this rod generates perhaps the highest line speed we have ever experienced without excessive power and effort. Due to its very fine and responsive tip section, this rod also works extremely well at short distances, but its very stable middle and lower sections allow you to make very long casts with incredible control and precision.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #4
The 4-weight model is the perfect choice for light fishing in medium to large rivers, lakes or ultra-light inshore fishing. It has enough finesse to cast small dry flies 5-10m upstream, but also enough power to cast smaller streamers effortlessly on a calm day on the coast. If you're looking for a lightweight all-round rod, consider the Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #4.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #5
The 9ft #5 is the classic all-round rod, whether you're fishing dry flies, nymphs or steramers. This model is still light enough to provide a great experience when fishing with dry flies, but can already handle weighted streamers and sinking lines. This model is perfect if you are looking for an all-round rod for river fishing or a very light inshore rod.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #6
The Heliso 3D #6 is your perfect lightweight streamer rod whether you are fishing for big browns in rivers, big deep lakes or inshore. If you want to fish light, but still don't want to compromise on distance and performance, this is the rod you're looking for.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #7
The Helios 3D in #7 is the perfect all-round streamer rod and perhaps our favourite of the Helios 3D range. We recommend fishing this rod with a head weight of 17-19g, making it the perfect rod for streamer fishing on larger rivers, lakes and of course inshore fishing. When it comes to effortless long casts all day long, the 9ft #7 really hits the sweet spot. Normally we would only choose a heavier model if we are fishing very large and heavy streamers or if we are targeting fish that need even more fighting power.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #8
Perfect for light tropical saltwater or pike fishing. The Helios 3D #8 handles large flies and heavy sinking lines with ease, yet feels lighter than most other 8 weight rods. A little heavier than the 7 weight, of course, but also a very nice rod for inshore sea trout fishing in rough conditions.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #9
This exceptionally light 9-weight model is a very good choice if you are looking for an all-round but not too heavy pike or saltwater rod. If you want to cast big, heavy flies and sinking lines or have to contend with strong winds, don't worry, the Helios 3D #9 can handle it whether you're fishing for pike, permit, jacks or barracuda.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #10
If you're looking for a heavy pike rod or an all-round saltwater rod that can handle bigger fish with confidence, consider this Helios 3D 10s. It's not as accurate as the 9s rod, especially at close range, but in tough conditions and when long casts are needed, it does the job really well. Perfect for big permit, heavy pike fishing or light tarpon fishing.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #11
This model has been specifically designed for light deep sea and tarpon fishing. Its performance is comparable to that of the 10 model, only with a little more punch at long distances and, most importantly, increased fish-fighting performance.
Orvis Helios 3D 9ft #12
This is a heavy duty fly rod designed specifically for the strongest fish. It has an extremely powerful butt that allows you to really pressure the fish during the fight. The rod is great for casting at medium to long distances and also gets the job done at shorter distances if needed. If you are looking for a high-end rod for hunting GT, large Tarpon, Arapaima or larger offshore fish, then this is the model for you.
