In contrast to the classic Abel Super fly reels, the new SDF have an encapsulated, maintenance-free drag system. They come in the excellent quality of workmanship known from Abel. Manufactured in the U.S.A. and machined from solid aluminum, the SDF comes with Abel's hard-anodized finish, which is among the finest finishes we've seen on a fly reel. The freshwater version is perfect for rods up to line weight 7.
