NT11 fly rods are the result of using the latest and most advanced state of the art carbon materials used in the aerospace industry today.

When applied and used in fly rods, some key benefits are achieved. The most obvious effect is the amazing resilience and crispness of the blanks, achieved by combining the incredible armor and strength enhancing effect of T1100G graphite with layers of the highest modulus graphite we have used in fly rods to date. For you as an angler, the above properties have been built into a rod series that combines a low blank weight and maximum breaking elongation.

You will find that with their fully flexible, medium-fast action and stiff yet sensitive tips, these rods are easy to handle without having to constantly focus on perfect cast timing. They load deeper and always generate more power and line speed when you need it. This deeper yet fast action caters to a variety of casts, lines and casting styles while maintaining impressive carrying capacity for sinking lines. Having built top quality, light and strong 6-piece fly rods for many years, we know we don't compromise on performance, strength, weight or balance. Another advantage is that this new NT11 rod series is multi-part and can be transported in luggage when travelling.

The rod models

12'9 #7/8 28-31 gr/430-480 grains

The lightest and shortest rod of the NT11 two-handed rods. Often described as a rod for light summer fishing, this rod still offers a lot more and is suitable for many different purposes. It can handle all types of lines and is therefore also suitable for spring fishing on small and medium-sized bodies of water. The rod harmonises ideally with the 4d bodies in 20 and 22g and the matching tips in 7g or 9g.

12'9 #8/9 32-35 gr/490-540 Grains

This model is an absolute all-rounder. It is very versatile and has the power to handle big fish as well as larger flies that are slightly bulkier than the 7/8wt rod. This rod can be used with both the shorter 3D+/4D+ Compact System and the longer standard 3D+/4D lines, it's just a matter of taste and what you prefer or what you need. If you are fishing in tight situations with steep and high banks behind you, the Compact system is your best choice. A 34 gram (25+9gr) 4D Compact Multi Tip #8/9 kit works perfectly on this rod.

13'9 #8/9 32-35 gr/490-540 grains

An unexpected benefit of the new materials and construction of the NT11 rods is the exceptional stability of the blank and its ability to quickly eliminate rebound. This was very evident in the development of these longer models in each line weight. Low swing weight paired with an instant stop of the blank after recovery make this rod something special. Like the 12'9 version, this rod can be used with both the shorter 3D+/4D+ Compact system and the longer standard 3D+/4D lines, but the extra length of this rod suits a slightly longer head well. A 25gr 4D+ Compact Body combined with a standard 4D 15'/9gr tip is a great pro tip here.

13'9 #9/10 37-41 gr/570-635 grains

Probably the most versatile of all rods, this model is a bestseller in our salmon rod range for a reason. The NT11 version handles just about any condition and challenge you can throw at it, and it does it in style. Heavy sinking lines, strong winds, voluminous flies, big fish or narrow, high banks and deep wading are part of the daily work with this rod. It's a bit faster and more powerful than most other rods in this range, but it feels so good we left it that way. It has great line tolerance, but some of our favorites are standard 4D bodies in 29gr + 15'/11gr or even 18'/12gr tips (the latter also works great with a 29gr 4D Compact body). You can also load the rod with a 32gr body and 9gr tips.

14'9 #9/10 37-41 gr/570-635 grains

Another slightly longer rod that has benefited greatly from the unique construction and properties of the T1100 material. Light and well balanced, this rod will blow you away with its direct action and vibration dampening properties. Casting this rod during long days fishing is pure joy. We recommend
